Set Up & Tear Downπ¨βͺ
Set Up & Tear Down are part of what makes our SVC services feel like SVC services β help to set up tech, video, ambiance, and learn some of these skills along the way!
Food Teamπ²π₯
In the Food team, you'll gain hands-on experience in prepping and cooking meals for large groups (100+ people!) while also learning the essential skills of kitchen cleanliness and organization. Get ready to serve up delicious meals with efficiency and care :)
Welcome Teamππ€
We love SVC, you love SVC β help set the ambiance and be a pleasant presence for people as they come to service :)
Prior experience/skill is not necessary!
Area Youth Ministry
Area Youth Ministry is a nationwide non-profit Christian youth organization that connects high school students with other like-minded peers and mentors. This fall we have volunteer opportunities to be a volleyball coach or youth mentor.
Be a volleyball coach!π
AYM Volleyball is more than just a game, itβs a chance to pour into middle schoolers with encouragement, faith, and fun. These youth are at such a formative age, and your time as a volunteer can show them Godβs love, build their confidence, and make a lasting impact both on and off the court!
Here's what to expect:
Assist the head coach with teaching volleyball drills (passing, serving, and hitting)
Ball Shagging
Assist with registration, setup and breakdown
Optional Training sessions with head coaches
Have fun and engage with Middle Schoolers on and off the court
Dates: Sundays 9/7-10/26
4 or 8 week commitment for coaches
Times:
3:00PM - 4:30PM for girls
4:30PM - 6:00PM for guys
Be a youth mentor!π
What:
Mentor a high school student as they navigate college applications, questions about life & purpose, or just want advice from an older person!
By signing up, you are committing to have 4 45-minute mentorship sessions with the student between September and October.
You will be paired up with a youth mentor, so you won't be running these sessions alone!
Time commitment:
30 minute onboarding and mentor training (on Zoom)
4 45-minute mentorship sessions [1 introductory, 3 based on a track the HS student signed up for]
15 to 30 minute planning sessions with your mentor partner
You meet when the schedule matches for all 3 of you.
Where:
You can meet in person or virtually. Up to you and how close the student lives!
